A Bit About Me

I’ve always felt that I am lacking a geography to sink into; then again I am happy enough being a stranger : I’ve been an outsider nearly all my life.

Saying good-bye so often, my roots have grown everywhere I’ve passed by or lived in.

Travelling and living in different countries have changed the way I look at things and that has definitely influenced my work and all the things I cook and eat, make and do.

I have a BA in Fine Arts and in Fashion Design, and have been working as an art director, graphic designer and illustrator freelance,  for companies around the globe.

My work looks sweet and naïve with a pinch of salt and pepper. I tend to embrace organic, imperfection and wonkiness very seriously but I’m also devoted to the functionality and simplicity of the Bauhaus-esque.

I develop original artwork, surface pattern designs, and hand lettering for various formats and products, both hand drawn and digital.

I love everything old school, botanical designs, folk Nordic art, traditional British textile and the whole arts & crafts movement. I also love quilting and sewing stuff.

I am highly organised. I need to be. I keep my creative chaos very tight and tidy. I feel bored many times, but people say that “ Boredom is the mother of creativity ”.

So I must be doing something right, right?
